Gargash Group entered the Abu Dhabi market for the first time with the opening of the Guangzhou Automobile Group Motor (GAC Motor) showroom at the iconic Yas Marina Circuit.

Gargash Group, a leading distributor of premium and luxury cars including GAC, has partnered with Abu Dhabi Motorsports Management (ADMM) for the state-of-the-art 300m² facility at the home of the Formula 1 Grand Prix Etihad Airways from Abu Dhabi.

Marking the occasion, Shehab Gargash, Managing Director and CEO of the Gargash Group, unveiled the latest GS8 model and noted that Chinese brands suffer from an “undeserved” bad reputation for being of low quality.

“It’s an undeserved reputation because we have seen the various Chinese manufacturers, very quickly, offer very innovative products and cover a wide spectrum of vehicle classes. We have seen over the years Chinese brands take their well-deserved place on the table among the world’s automakers. »

GAC Motor has been ranked first among all Chinese brands for eight consecutive years in JD Power Asia Pacific’s China Initial Quality SM (IQS) Study. Gargash said GAC Motor is on par with top auto brands in Japan and South Korea.

“They (the GAC cars) compare well in terms of price, quality, design and innovation. The GS8 is an extremely fashionable vehicle, which is a pioneer rather than following the trends in terms of the evolution of the ‘industry. “

The Abu Dhabi showroom is the Group's third after two facilities in Dubai.

In addition to GAC Motor, the showroom will feature Alfa Romeo, Sixt Rent and Gargash Purple cars.

“We are a premium product at a very reasonable price. The most important is the quality. We deliver a product that can retain its quality and deliver its quality. We’ve been around for over 100 years and stick our name only to products that can deliver on our quality promise without disappointing customers.

Gargash pointed out that Abu Dhabi is a dynamic market and he predicts a bright future for the GAC brand in the capital due to factors such as accessibility, location on Yas Island and residential areas, homes shops and establishments nearby.

“There is a growing set of diverse industries in Abu Dhabi with an extremely aggressive policy of diversifying the economy. Many businesses are moving there. This is good news for us. More businesses mean more people here, which means more customers for our cars.

Zeng Hebin, managing director of GAC Motor International, said the UAE was one of the most important strategic markets for the brand in the Middle East.

“With the cooperation of our partner Gargash Motors, we have achieved remarkable results in this market. The all-new GS8, positioned as China’s first premium SUV, is a masterpiece of GAC’s latest advanced technology and R&D capabilities. I wish the GS8 will be another glorious success and meet the premium quality needs of more customers in the UAE market.

The all-new GS8 has undergone comprehensive upgrades over the previous generation to merge luxury, safety and premium performance into one car.

Saif Al Noaimi, CEO of ADMM, added: “We are proud to have the Gargash Group showroom at Yas Marina Circuit. This is the home of motoring and Formula 1 lovers. We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnership as our customers mutually benefit from new on-track driving experiences and other exciting activations in the pipeline. »
